National Launch Marketing Strategy for the SDOH Toolkit Book
Tellegacy is preparing for the national launch of the SDOH Toolkit book, which addresses solutions for social isolation and loneliness among older adults. The goal of this project is to develop a comprehensive marketing strategy that effectively promotes the book and engages the target audience. The project involves conducting action research through targeted outreach, such as emails or surveys, to gather feedback on messaging and assess interest in speaking engagements or book purchases. Learners will apply their classroom knowledge of marketing principles to create a strategy that resonates with the intended audience, ensuring the book's successful introduction to the market. The project will focus on identifying key messaging, potential outreach channels, and strategies for engaging stakeholders interested in the book's themes.

Project Assistant
GENERAL SUMMARY: Project Assistant coordinates with Director, Dr. Jeremy Holloway, in assuring the success of the Tellegacy program in which University students (Legacy Builders) calls community resident in retirement communities or assisted living facilities via virtually or phone weekly to connect and become a friend. University student connects with resident to bring them from feelings of isolation to connection, community, and focus on their legacy.

Job Description Title: Project Manager of Student Weekly Conversation Program with Elderly GENERAL SUMMARY: Project Manager coordinates with Director, Dr. Jeremy Holloway, in assuring the success of the Tellegacy program in which University students (Legacy Builders) calls community resident in retirement communities or assisted living facilities via virtually or phone weekly to connect and become a friend. University student connects with resident to bring them from feelings of isolation to connection, community, and focus on their legacy. QUALIFICATIONS Undergrad: must maintain a 2.5 GPA . Graduate Level: 3.0 A relatively high level of analytical ability is required to assess general needs conversationally of the resident, develop and manage discharge plan and to effectively utilize intellectual resources of the program. Well versed in the use of technology: virtual meeting software (Zoom), and in filling out online forms. A significant level of interpersonal skills is required to build rapport and connect with the resident. Legacy Builder - University Students Serving Older Adults
What the student does: Our University students, known as Legacy Builders, connect with older adults via phone or through virtual visits. During each session, the Legacy Builders ask the older adult legacy-themed questions about their life from early childhood to adulthood to their current stage. The discussions focus on building rapport and providing a sense of hope, while also allowing the older adult to impart wisdom and share stories of their past with the students. A legacy book is provided back to the older adult at the end of the sessions. Required skills: Prompt responder - student must be efficient and punctual when responding to calls and emails Proactive thinker - student must think outside of the box and exhibit initiative Flexible planner - student must exhibit strong time management, be self disciplined, and adapt well to changes Team player - student must be able to collaborate in a team environment Problem solver - student must be able to overcome challenges with creative solutions Student must be hospitable, courteous, and kind to others How the student benefits: Complete required service/clinical hours Enhance connecting and listening skills Receive training in vision/goal-setting, mindfulness, growth mindset, and legacy interviewing Learn new perspectives from an older generation Participate in a mentorship program Help improve someone's quality of life and health status Experience: The student receives business experience working alongside the Founder/CEO of a start-up company and learns many of the ins and outs of servicing a start-up project. Mentorship: The student will receive training, teaching, and mentorship from program executives. Resume Sculpting: The student will have the opportunity to build on their resume and add executives as references. Dr. Holloway will provide a project description for the student to add this experience to their resume.
