Description

Why Tellegacy was started. After finding out from a community Chaplain friend that older adults in retirement communities were passing away, not from COVID-19, but from a broken heart due to isolation from family and friends, Jeremy Holloway, PhD, decided to create a flexible, relationship-oriented mindfulness, goal setting and guided imagery curriculum that can be facilitated by University students via phone or virtually one-on-one with older adults in retirement communities. Tellegacy program make meaningful intergenerational connections, we think it can save lives.

Job Description Title: Project Manager of Student Weekly Conversation Program with Elderly GENERAL SUMMARY: Project Manager coordinates with Director, Dr. Jeremy Holloway, in assuring the success of the Tellegacy program in which University students (Legacy Builders) calls community resident in retirement communities or assisted living facilities via virtually or phone weekly to connect and become a friend.   University student connects with resident to bring them from feelings of isolation to connection, community, and focus on their legacy. QUALIFICATIONS Undergrad: must maintain a 2.5 GPA . Graduate Level: 3.0 A relatively high level of analytical ability is required to assess general needs conversationally of the resident, develop and manage discharge plan and to effectively utilize intellectual resources of the program. Well versed in the use of technology: virtual meeting software (Zoom), and in filling out online forms. A significant level of interpersonal skills is required to build rapport and connect with the resident. The project will focus on identifying key messaging, potential outreach channels, and strategies for engaging stakeholders interested in the book's themes.

Level UP Marketing Specialist

What the student does: Manages / creates social media sites / content. Assists in the creative execution for the marketing objectives of Tellegacy program. Project details: · Passion for the digital marketing landscape, including social media and content · Strong social media skills (usage and analytics) · Design and execution of social media campaigns (FB, YouTube, LinkedIn and/or Instagram) · Create weekly post on social media platforms (FB, YouTube, LinkedIn and/or Instagram) · Interact with followers on social media platforms (FB, YouTube, LinkedIn and/or Instagram) · Track social media engagements and assist in implementing plans to increase followers/user engagement · Assisting with web-site interaction (and optional website redesign). · Strategely creates strategies for the continual visibility of Tellegacy. · Assists in the creation of flyers and other marketing related materials. Recommended skills: Prompt responder - student must efficient and punctual when responding to calls and emails Creative thinker - student must think outside of the box and exhibit creative initiative Flexible planner - student must be self disciplined and adapt well to changes Entrepreneurial character - student must be a self-starter and go-getter Team player - student must be able to collaborate in a team environment Problem solver - student must be able to overcome challenges with creative solutions How the student benefits: Experience: The student receives business experience working alongside the Founder/CEO of a start-up company and learns many of the ins and outs of servicing a start-up project. Mentorship: The student will receive training, teaching, and mentorship from program executives. Resume Sculpting: The student will have the opportunity to build on their resume and add executives as references. Dr. Holloway will provide a project description for the student to add this experience to their resume.
