The goal is to develop a streamlined, user-friendly interface that integrates drag-and-drop shift creation, mobile punching with geofencing, and compliance automation. By aligning labor demand with meal plan census and historical sales, the system will ensure optimal staffing levels. This project will help reduce manual errors, improve compliance with legal and union rules, and enhance the overall employee experience through mobile-first shift management tools.

AI-Driven Menu Management System
The project aims to develop an AI-driven menu management system for CARDWATCH POS, a company specializing in point-of-sale solutions for the dining industry. The primary goal is to create an intelligent menu agent that can assist dining managers in generating custom menus tailored to future dining trends and customer preferences. This system will incorporate a user-friendly dashboard, allowing managers to easily navigate and utilize the application. By leveraging AI, the project will also provide data reporting features to support day-to-day operational needs, enhancing decision-making processes. The technical foundation of the project will be built using Python for the AI components and PostgreSQL for database management. This project offers learners the opportunity to apply their knowledge of AI, database management, and user interface design in a practical setting.

AI-Powered User Testing Agent For Nutritional Healthcare POS Platform
Our company has developed a Nutritional Healthcare POS Platform using microservices architecture (recipe management, customer management, menu management, and gateway services, etc). We need an intelligent AI-powered testing agent that can simulate real users interacting with our platform to identify bugs, performance issues, and usability problems before they affect our customers. We would like to collaborate with students to implement this AI testing agent. Students will build a working prototype that can automatically test our microservices by simulating various user types (nutritionists, customers/patients, administrators, clerks) and their interactions with our platform. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Conducting background research on our microservices architecture and API endpoints. Analyzing typical user workflows and interactions across our platform. Researching and implementing AI/ML techniques for realistic user simulation Developing a functional testing agent that can interact with multiple services. Implementing test result analysis and reporting capabilities. Creating a dashboard to visualize test results and platform performance(bonus challenge).

CARDWATCH POS Platform Rebuild
The goal of this project is to do a full rebuild of CARDWATCH POS's platform. This will involve UI/UX redesign of the company's POS and online ordering applications. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: - Analyzing the existing platform and understanding the current user experience. - Creating a new design that is user-friendly and efficient. - Developing a new platform that meets the company's needs and goals. - Optimizing the platform for performance and scalability. - Testing the new platform and making improvements based on user feedback.

Assistive Technology HID Integration
We are looking to create a HID integration with C++/Embedded C/C#. Any of these skills is preferred. We are creating an assistive technology to help people who can only use their mouth to interface with a digital device. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: - Researching existing HID integration technologies. - Developing a HID integration software that is compatible with C++/Embedded C/C#. - Optimizing software runtime performance and assessing areas for improvement. - Testing the developed software and making improvements based on additional data. - Developing a user interface that is accessible for people with limited mobility.

CARDWATCH POS Hybrid Cloud Solution
The main goal for this project is to build a multitenant cloud solution as a rebuilt to our legacy system. This hybrid on-premise cloud solution will provide redundancy for clients and will be used for a specialized point-of-sale system. The database will be an RDBMS heavy financial transaction database and will contain account charge data for customers. The project will also require a migration tool to migrate our legacy database to the new system.
