Gen Z Content Creation for Scale Without Borders

Scale Without Borders is looking to enhance its digital presence by engaging with a Gen Z audience through innovative and appealing content. The project aims to leverage the creativity and digital skills of learners to produce engaging multimedia content that resonates with younger audiences. Students will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge of digital marketing, graphic design, and copywriting to create content that aligns with the company's brand and mission. The project involves designing graphics and videos tailored for social media platforms, editing web pages to improve user experience, and contributing to content planning and copywriting. By participating in this project, students will gain practical experience in content creation and digital marketing strategies, while helping Scale Without Borders expand its reach and impact.

Helping immigrants get tech jobs (internship)

The recruitment specialist intern will join an exciting social impact startup whose mission is to support newcomer tech talent. This is a brand new role and the successful candidate will help define it, grow it, and create uncharted impact through it. SWB is working with clients who are interested in hiring from our growing community of immigrant tech talent. We’re going to need some to help us define, kick-start and grow this recruitment process. By the end of the project the successful candidate will have: helped (with the support and leadership of the founder) set the foundation of a success recruitment practice at the heart of our startup helped dozens of newcomers and immigrants land meaningful tech jobs built a pipeline of hundreds of newcomers and immigrant candidates in tech

Events and Program Coordinator Internship

We provide programs & events for newcomers and work with enterprises on their newcomer strategy. We have an annual summit, smaller events and multiple programs coming up in 2022. We’re looking for an additional team member to work closely with the founder and team as a core organizer of our events, programs and activities. Our events are our signature offering - we bring trailblazer newcomers in tech to share their stories, and inspire all while curating a brilliant community of newcomers in tech to connect, learn, and have fun. Past speakers range from Mayor of Toronto John Tory, to CEO of Wealthsimple Foundation Leen Li.

Digital Marketing Coordinator

Our company supports newcomers and immigrants in tech. Our aim is to bridge the gap between immigrant tech professionals and the broader Canadian job market.  We have developed a set of marketing strategies and we would like to collaborate with students to review and post content promoting our company. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Familiarizing themselves with our target market and services. Reviewing marketing content in the form of posts, emails etc. Deploying content according to our social media calendar to increase website traffic. Overseeing our channels and keeping them up-to-date
