As inaugural members of the Detroit Intern Experience, members of the 2025 cohort are setting the foundation for an initiative that will continue to run annually.  The Detroit Intern Experience is a flagship initiative of Emerge designed to connect college students with employers in Metro Detroit through paid micro-internships that are fully managed and provided at no cost to the employer. This model enables students to gain valuable real-world experience while employers benefit from fresh perspectives and project support. The program prioritizes accessibility, equity, and long-term talent retention by intentionally placing students in projects that align with Michigan’s key industries and future workforce needs.
