In 2019, RBC Future Launch and Riipen launched a partnership with the goal of increasing access to high-impact work-integrated learning (WIL) opportunities for Canadian post-secondary students Our shared mission: to help prepare learners, particularly those from underserved communities, for the Future of Work. By the end of 2022, the RBC-Riipen partnership has delivered over 27,000 online WIL experiences, to a wide diversity of learners and educational partners across Canada with the potential of delivering over 250,000 by 2026.

Business and Operational Planning Capstone (September - December 2025)

Students analyze a company’s environment and existing business plan and subsequently develop an evolved and relevant comprehensive business and operational plan for the organization, through the application of theoretical and applied learning gained throughout the program. What are the benefits to the client? Fresh new ideas and perspectives Enthusiastic team of students working on your project, advised by experienced faculty Low-cost exploration of new business ideas Explore products or services that are outside of your organization's current business plan Connect with Sheridan College academic community Students will provide approximately 160 hours of work, without financial payment dedicated to solving your problem During the fifteen-week semester, partners should be available for three class visits, lasting two hours each, in addition to 20hrs of assignment reading, review and student offline questions. It is estimated that for every partner hour invested, the return is x20 free student hrs.

Data Analysis and Visualization - Summer 2025

This course is part of the Data Analytics certificate program. Students in the program are adult learners with a post-secondary degree/diploma in computer science, engineering, business, etc. The students learn how to perform exploration of data in order to discover meaningful information to solve problems, and will allow for the application of analytics life cycle in the context of planning to solve a business problem. Emphasis is placed on framing the problem, proposing an analytics solution, communicating with stakeholders, and establishing an analytics-focused project plan. Common data visualization tools and techniques are explored and used as students learn best practices for the presentation and communication of analytical solutions and insights.

Technical and Help Desk Support - Summer 2025
CNET205
Centennial College's Customer Skills course prepares first-year students with the essential knowledge and skills to excel in Level 1 and Level 2 technical support roles in helpdesk environments. Learners are trained in user interaction, multi tier incident management problem-solving, communication, and teamwork, using industry-standard Incident Management help desk applications like LBE Help Desk Software. The course focuses on developing the technical and business skills required for entry-level user support roles. Learners aim to build proficiency in troubleshooting, customer communication, and workload management while gaining hands-on experience working with real-world problems. Employers participating in this collaboration are expected to engage in regular communication with students, provide necessary project information, be present during the final presentation, and offer constructive feedback through the Riipen platform. This feedback will guide learners in refining their technical support and customer service abilities.

IT Business Analysis June 2025
Our students have the skills to create and manage organizational process change as well as an understanding of how to gather, document, and communicate stakeholder requirements. Students are well suited to recommend and evaluate solutions, provide quality assurance criteria, perform some data modeling and project management. We are looking to create a first-time mentorship opportunity for our students by pairing them with a skilled business analyst at your company who can mentor and support our students through a small project.

Data Science and Analytics (University of Calgary)
My learners are equipped to tackle projects in machine learning and statistical learning, having gained proficiency in Python and R. They have engaged with several hands-on courses covering machine learning, statistical data analysis, SQL and database management, Tableau dashboard creation, data engineering, and big data. I am seeking internship projects that will help them apply their skills as part of their data science master’s program. Please note that learners will register for their internship between May and August 2025. If you wish to start working with them during this period, it would be ideal.
Client-Centered Communication for Innovation in Engineering (Masters-level course) Concordia University

This experience focuses on equipping learners with the skills necessary for effective client-centered communication within the innovation process in engineering-related projects. Participants will gain expertise in qualitative data collection, customer development communication, and user interview techniques. By applying these skills, learners will be able to validate customer needs, craft audience-appropriate messages, and deliver compelling prototypes and presentations aligned to meet a client's current needs.
Object-Oriented Graphical User Interface (Lakehead University)

Topics include object-oriented concepts including inheritance, polymorphism, exception handling, graphics and GUI design techniques. Types of projects that students can work on: Projects that require Object-Oriented and Java programming components.
Computer Systems Technology - Capstone Project

Looking to elevate your organization, and bring it to the next level? Bring on students from Saskatchewan Polytechnic to be your student-consultants, in a project-based experience. Students will work on one main project over the course of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Students in this program/course study and employ practical and theoretical concepts obtained in first year systems analysis and design courses by building an IT system. They will work as part of a development team on an IT problem for an external industry client. Their project will include the production and demonstration of functioning components of the system each release within deadlines set out in their project management documentation
