Evaluating Alternatives to Property Tax in Michigan
The project aims to explore viable alternatives to property tax in Michigan while ensuring the continued funding of local services. The research will focus on understanding the financial implications of eliminating property tax for various demographic and economic classes, including farmers, wealthy individuals, seniors, and those living below the poverty line. Additionally, the study will assess the impact on properties with solar or wind farms, businesses, and different types of cities and townships. The goal is to provide a comprehensive analysis that considers the diverse economic landscape of Michigan and proposes feasible solutions that maintain fiscal stability and equity across communities. This project will allow learners to apply their knowledge of public finance, economics, and policy analysis to a real-world issue.
Toothpaste Packaging
Cocobright Toothpaste wants new environmentally friendly packaging for their toothpaste. This can be biodegradable packaging or reusable packaging. They have several ideas and connections, but would like to put more minds on the project to evaluate all the options. This company participated in a young entrepreneurs competition in 2015 and won on the national level. They have an all natural coconut oil toothpaste. I am the marketing company they came to for consultation on the packaging and marketing. I think this would be a perfect fit for this project. The owners are young and ambitious. The goal is to have a design that will be environmentally sound and have a path for production on a small and large scale.
Collaborative Marketing Competition for Prominent World-Wide Company
Guello Marketing works with businesses to increase their client base thru strategic marketing, mostly online, but also thru traditional media. We have a new client who is well known in their industry (they are like "Xerox" in the printing machine industry for their industry) throughout the world. It will be a prestigious opportunity for a student to have their name associated with the success of this company's rebrand post-covid. We are looking for one or two smart, creative teams of interns that our company can compete with for which marketing strategy/campaign they want to implement. We have the contract with the company, so one team will be chosen, and may the best team win. The primary focus for the student will be: Market Research Investigate the client's competitive landscape; Assess where and how to improve their brand's presence and differentiate from their competitors. Conduct a SWOT analysis and identify strengths and weaknesses of the company and opportunities and threats facing their brand; perform market segmentation to identify the ideal target markets for three product niches, conduct customer surveys or focus groups to gain insights into the perceptions and behaviors of our target customers; develop a pricing strategy; identify expansion opportunities; identify key messaging for the company and their three product lines. Create Marketing Strategy Rebranding - Provide two rebranding concepts with logo design, stationary, presentation folder, sales sheet system and powerpoint templates. Website Content - provide content for website including home page, headlines, bullet points, visual ideas, and navigation that will specifically appeal to the client's four target markets. We will build the website. We are offering you the opportunity to provide ideas for the content that will impress the client's target market. Sales Tools - Create trade materials, autoresponder emails, infographics, quick promo video with script and visuals that can be found online (no photo shoots necessary) Public Relations - Develop and implement a PR strategy; create collateral, including press releases, user testimonials, case studies, and customer stories. Prospecting Strategy - Evaluate our current customer base and make recommendations for further market penetration; assess our current outreach process and develop and implement targeted prospecting; review our prospect messaging, make improvement recommendations, and create new outreach content. SEO Strategy & Recommendations - Develop and implement an SEO strategy; provide content suggestions and recommendations to increase search visibility; increase our inbound traffic and optimize the customer journey; increase inbound leads. Strategic Social Media Marketing - Conduct an audit of our current social media presence and/or other current communication channel(s); develop and implement strategies for improving our online presence and increasing engagement; create a content calendar; creating useable social media and blog posts.
