Community Filter Methodology Development for DNA Platform

The Data Narratives for the Arts (DNA) Platform is a vital tool that consolidates financial and statistical data from over 4,000 charitable arts organizations across Canada. The current project aims to expand the platform by developing a methodology to create a new "community" filter. This filter will include a category set that accurately represents the diverse landscape of the arts and culture sector. The challenge is to ensure that the new filter is comprehensive and inclusive, reflecting the varied communities and artistic expressions within Canada. By achieving this, the platform will enhance its usability and relevance, offering more tailored insights for stakeholders. The project will require a thorough analysis of existing data categories and an understanding of the arts sector's diversity.

Enhancing Data Narratives for Mass Culture's Arts Data Platform

In September 2023, Mass Culture proudly launched its groundbreaking DNA - Data Narrative for the Arts initiative. At the heart of this innovative program lies the Arts Data Platform (ADP), currently in its inaugural stage. Mass Culture has already crafted several in-house reports to showcase the ADP's incredible potential. Furthermore, we are in the process of collaborating with a select group of arts organizations to help them construct their own compelling data narratives. We are excited to extend an invitation to a group of students to immerse themselves in the intricacies of the ADP. Your role will encompass a comprehensive evaluation of our in-house reports and gaining insight into the pressing data inquiries posed by our partner arts organizations. Armed with this valuable information, you will undertake the exciting task of producing a series of data reports that harness the capabilities of the ADP in conjunction with other data sources.
