Details

Aloi Marathon is planned as an Annual Event offering opportunities for exercise for different age brackets encompassing Full Marathon; Half Marathon and Mini Marathon.

The main objective of this project is to conduct and research on all activities which should be addressed in order to effectively organize and facilitate a successful marathon event. This will involve understanding the logistics, planning, and execution of a marathon, as well as identifying best practices and potential challenges.

What makes this project particularly interesting is that the proposed marathon will take place in Aloi, Alebtong District, Northern Uganda in East Africa. The funds generated by this marathon will be applied to support community projects such as introducing modern agricultural techniques in rural areas, offering scholarships to needy students, improving healthcare facilities; and offering improved and durable family housing to the community

Deliverables
  • Listing and evaluating activities required for a successful marathon event
  • Devising a strategy for convincing donors, mainly corporates, to sponsor the Annual Marathon Events
  • Preparing budgets and cash flow management programs for a successful and sustainable Marathon Events
  • Devising and recommending governance and oversight measures to ensure a scandal- free marathon
