What is the main goal for this project?

Project Goal:

Design and implement an efficient, AI-powered communication and operations system tailored for collision and mechanical repair shops. The goal is to reduce manual admin tasks, automate customer messaging (especially repair status updates), and ensure no calls are missed using an AI phone assistant capable of handling scheduling and inquiries.

What tasks will participants need to complete to achieve the project goal?

Deliverables:

  • A prototype or working system (in Notion, Zapier, Customer.io, or similar tools) that:
  • Sends automated customer status updates via SMS or email
  • Logs repair progress and enables easy manual overrides
  • Uses an AI voice assistant (e.g., Smith.ai or Twilio) to answer calls, provide real-time information, and handle bookings
  • A centralized dashboard for shop owners/staff to view, edit, and track communications
  • Optional: a setup template that can be cloned for multiple shop locations
  • A short guide or walkthrough video explaining how to operate and customize the system
