The main goal of this project is to optimize the warehouse operations of SelectMe International's 18,000 sq ft facility. By analyzing the layout, improving space utilization, enhancing inventory management practices, applying lean manufacturing principles, and providing training for staff, the project aims to streamline operations, reduce waste, and enhance workflow efficiency to better support the company's distribution needs and overall service capabilities.

Warehouse Layout Analysis: Assess the current layout of the 18,000 sq ft facility to identify areas for improvement.

Space Utilization: Suggest ways to optimize space usage, such as reconfiguring storage areas, implementing vertical storage solutions, or using automation for inventory management.

Inventory Management: Evaluate current inventory management practices and propose enhancements, such as adopting advanced inventory tracking systems (e.g., RFID technology) or implementing a more efficient stock rotation method.

Lean Principles Application: Apply lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve workflow efficiency within the warehouse. This could involve implementing the 5S methodology to organize workspaces.

Training and Development: Provide training for warehouse staff on new systems and processes to ensure smooth implementation and ongoing efficiency.
